Cajun Charcoal Grill Review | 304 Stainless

Today we are checking out the 36 inch stainless steel, charcoal Cajun Grill. Let’s have a look! The cajun grill is built with quality craftsmanship right here in the USA, let’s look inside! The cooking grids measure 21 inches deep by 34 inches wide, which is plenty of space to cook large batches of food when hosting a BBQ party. The cooking grids are 304 stainless steel, and feature an easy lift handle on the side of both grid sections. Because this is a charcoal grill, it is convenient to be able to easily lift one section of grids out of the way for easy addition of smoking woods, or more charcoal. Underneath the cooking grids you will find what makes the Cajun Grill a very versatile Barbecue. This is the adjustable 304 stainless steel charcoal basket. This can be easily set at any of these 7 notch positions depending on what you are cooking. I love how close I can get the charcoal to the cooking grids when I want to sear something like steak at high temperatures. These new york strip steaks got an incredible all over crust and caramelization with the basket set in the top position. When cooking a batch of burgers, I like to bring the basket down a few notches, so that they can get some time smoking with the lid closed. The grill body is basically a v shape, which works really well to spread the heat across the entire grid surface as the heat rises. For something like BBQ chicken quarters, Setting the basket on one of the lower notches works great to get that crispy, smoky chicken everyone loves. For further temperature control, the Cajun grill features a large vent wheel on the lower left and right side. This airflow design forces the smoke and heat to roll over your food evenly as it leaves the grill from either the back overhang, or the front lip of the grill.Because of this airflow design, the convective heat of the Cajun Grill makes it great for cooking pizza as well. Check out how evenly these are baking! I love how crispy the crust gets, and the cheese on top is bubbly and golden brown. For monitoring the temperature in the Cajun Grill, the hood features a thermometer marked with smoke, bbq, and grilling temperature sections. The hood also features a stainless steel handle that rolls for easy opening of the grill. For easy cleaning, the entire base of the Cajun grill is lined with a slide out stainless steel ash pan. This grill is really easy to move around because of the two large wheels on the left side. Now we’ll perform the xrf test on the Cajun Grill. The inside and outside of the lid, cooking grids, charcoal pan, firebox, drip pan, and hood handle all tested to be 304 stainless steel.
